PAINTING OF WELSH PRESBYTERIAN CHAPEL IN LONDON
I was interested in painting this old church embedded between the buildings of Charing Cross Road, it caught my attention in a powerful way, Welsh Presbyterian Chapel in the City of Westminster, London, with neo-romantic architectural style, its walls store many windows that are crowned by the bell tower, the earthy and old tones seem to hold many secrets of London's history, I painted it in a frontal plane in which its closed door is almost not visible. Painting by the artist painter Ernest descals on paper of 50 x 70 centimeters, painting really curious buildings and urban landscapes in the historic center of the city.

Paintings of St Giles in the Fields church, interior light.
The interior of the church of St Giles in the Fields—located in the central St Giles district of London's West End, in the Borough of Camden—features furnishings and wooden pews that recede toward the altar as light streams in through the large windows; the columns help create a sense of depth amidst a mystical atmosphere of grey and blue tones, shaped by the soft illumination. These oil-on-paper works (measuring 50 x 70 cm) by artist Ernest Descals depict the interiors of London churches, a subject rarely explored by painters.

Painting in Euston Bus Station. London.
I have always been struck by the bus station at Euston, London; outside the Tube station lies a spacious area featuring modern architecture where a multitude of buses converge. Light streams in from all directions, creating a truly special, luminous setting. People wait beneath the bus shelter stop, forming a delightful scene, while dark columns support the structure, lending character to the station and creating a sense of great depth. This is a 50 x 70 cm painting on paper by artist Ernest Descals, capturing the impressionistic atmosphere of the big city.

PAINTING THE WAR MEMORIAL IN EUSTON, LONDON.
I am struck by the number of militaristic monuments in London; I believe they stem from a nostalgia for the former British Empire. The "London and North Western Railway War Memorial"—located very close to Euston Underground station—pays tribute to First World War soldiers who had worked for the railway. It features stately sculptures of uniformed soldiers holding rifles, rendered in a palette of grey tones against the green of the surrounding trees. I have painted my own personal tribute to the men who go to war—many of whom never return. Oil painting on 50 x 70 cm paper by the artist Ernest Descals.

Some of the paintings in the trips to paint the city of London, I have been working a lot on this large art collection that has more than three hundred works with places and sensations, impressions of everyday life and urban landscapes with buildings and monuments that allow me to introduce myself to the secrets of this wonderful city in England.
To view all the works, I recommend visiting my Flickr gallery, which we have also showcased on this page over time.
